On Wednesday, November 2nd from 9:00am to 2:30pm, ELA teachers from across our region will gather for a daylong workshop at Buffalo State featuring renowned scholar sj Miller.

Dr. Miller is Deputy Director of Educational Equity Supports and Services at New York University‚Äôs Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools and Associate Professor Literacy Studies at University of Colorado, Boulder.

This professional development conference will focus on developing inclusive instructional strategies and curriculum that engage students in meaningful learning opportunities around issues of identity expansiveness.

Space for this event is limited. Teachers interested in attending should RSVP to by October 26, 2016. Breakfast will be provided.

While this event is free, a tax-deductible donation of $10.00 to the Western New York Network of English Teachers is suggested. Donations support our organization and help WNYNET provide meaningful, teacher-driven professional development throughout the year.
