Angela Waligora Early Career Teacher. Angela Waligora began teaching in 2013. She has taught grades 7-10 and 12th grade in the Holland school district. She has implemented a research and debate project for 8th grade and a literature circle unit focused on tolerance for her freshmen.  In addition, Angela has worked with Western New York Young Audiences to bring Arts in Education to the English classes.  Angela has worked as a class advisor and has pursued professional development through NCTE, attending the national conference in 2016.  Before seeking a teaching career, Angela served a decade as a Youth Development Specialist for Cornell University, providing educational programming to Wyoming County youth through the 4-H Program.  While working in this capacity, Angela was recognized by the New York and National 4-H Educators Associations with the Distinguished Service Award, and was named an Outstanding Young Alumni by her undergraduate Alma Mater, West Virginia University (BS, 1998.)  Angela holds two Master's Degrees from Canisius College, Counselor Education (2000) and Adolescent English Education (2011.)
